French Consul General Anne-Claire Legendre hosted a breakfast roundtable on French dual language programs in NYC schools, with Consuls and top diplomats from Belgium, Quebec, Madagascar, Haiti, Senegal, Switzerland, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Monaco.
New York City has announced the creation of 68 new bilinguals, and up to 100 if enough schools and communities can mobilize before June. For the Francophones of New York, this is a tremendous opportunity for French-speaking children who need access to more dual language programs. This is also an equally important opportunity for non-French speakers who want to benefit from the advantages of bilingualism.
