Book Show on RTS 1 in Dakar

I was thrilled to present my books on Radio Television Sénégalaise with TV host Khady Ndiaye on a show called Kenkelibaa. I shared the floor with Abdoulaye Fodé Ndione and Antoinette Correa, two leading publishers engaged in developing reading and access to books in West Africa.

Kenkelibaa and is broadcast on RTS1 (watch on YouTube). The literature section runs every Tuesday from 6.30 am to 8 am in the morning. The replay is from 9 am to 10.30 am.
During the recording, I was pleased to share the floor with Abdoulaye Fodé Ndione, an author and publisher, who is engaged in developing the publishing industry in West Africa, through his participation in Afrilivres, the Sub-Saharan Francophone Publishers Association and the International Alliance of Independent Publishers.
I was equally pleased to meet Antoinette F. Correa, publisher, who founded Bibliothèque-Lecture-Développement (BLD) in 1995 to develop reading, help in the creation of libraries, and train librarians. It also organizes a Children’s Book Fair each year in Pikine, near Dakar.
